Leadership Insights from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes movie

By on July 12, 2014

Caesar wants his monkey tribe to make peace with humans but only he has the awareness to have the patience, the understanding, the trust and sense of universal love to do this and lead others to do the same.

Universal love allows you to see through superficial differences and circumstances to create unity. Universal love comes from having presence and stillness which enables you to discern the truth so you can trust and be a responsive leader. Not having this makes one a reactionary leader and bound by impressions of the past which can lead to destructive behavior.

Moral of the story: It’s about having presence and patience to do what is best for the family.
